Creativity + Business Savvy = Innovation.
Marte Siebenhar is a classically trained professional musician and strategic planner. She helps clients translate vision into value through an innovative approach combining artistic creativity and business strategy. She is a consultant, coach, facilitator and speaker. She believes in success on purpose, and because strategy is only as effective as the people implementing it, she focuses on both organizational strategy and leadership development.
Marte believes in creativity as a catalyst for innovation and change, a philosophy that guides her changemaking firm Cultured Innovations. She is an executive coach for a number of leaders in Miami and abroad, and she is also developing a capacity building training program for arts leaders in Miami-Dade County. She is also in demand as an inspirational speaker and facilitator, having built a highly successful brand of creativity-sparking workshops for leaders and innovators worldwide, known as Creative Jams.
A consultant since 2011, she has spearheaded projects with New World Symphony, Radical Partners, the Phoenix Symphony, the Children’s Chorus of Washington, Nu Deco Ensemble, Pioneer Winter Collective and Pride Youth Theater Alliance, among others. Marte’s career also spans fifteen years as an arts leader, most recently at New World Symphony, where she oversaw audience strategy, engagement, research and innovation. Under her leadership, NWS experienced its highest grossing single event in its history (exceeding the previous number by 15%), the highest percentage of new audience members (61.6%), new ticket access programs generating nearly $52,000 and nearly triple group sales in three years, the genesis of NWS Open House - later adopted by a six-figure sponsor as a signature fulfillment - a new cross-promotional partnership with the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District and the successful completion of Project 305, one of Miami’s most ambitious arts audience development projects.
As Executive Director of Bakehouse Art Complex, she increased annual attendance 229%, attracted hundreds of thousands of dollars in new sources of funding, including the organization's first National Endowment for the Arts grant since the 1980s, and secured the United States premiere of La Tauromaquia by Pablo Picasso through Bank of America's Arts in Our Communities Program. As one of three members of arts “Turnaround King” Michael Kaiser’s national consulting team at the DeVos Institute of Arts Management at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, she oversaw national consultancies serving every arts industry and created strategic plans and capacity building resources used by organizations worldwide. Consolidating and analyzing best practices of hundreds of organizations helped prepare her for a role empowering the leaders and businesses of today.
An alumna of Manhattan School of Music, fellowships with the Kennedy Center and The Miami Foundation and work at Carnegie Hall, Marte is an advocate and advisor to Venture Cafe Miami, Miami’s Next Leaders, The Watson Institute at Lynn University, The Pioneer Winter Collective, Radical Partners, Maven Leadership Collective and Miami Arts Leaders Network. She starts each day with running and meditation, and is pleased to have recently completed her first book.
